WHAT AN EDITOR DOES:

An editor helps evaluate your manuscript by offering re-write suggestions, proofreading, line-by-line edits, and substantial developmental edits. Also can help with spelling, grammar, and fact-checking. 

WHAT TYPE OF EDIT DO I NEED?

Fontaine Publications offers two types of edits:

  • Developmental Editing - assesses the big picture issues of your manuscript and provides feedback on plot, characters, structure, and more. 
  • Proofreading & Copy Editing - assesses the grammatical structure of your sentences, provides re-write suggestions, and fixes typos and other issues. 

Depending on what stage your screenplay is at, this will determine the type of editing you would need. 

WHAT TO EXPECT FOR EACH SERVICE:

Developmental Edits:

  • Includes comprehensive feedback on big issues in your manuscript (this includes plot, structural, and character issues)
  • Includes a sensitivity read (if needed)
  • Can include in-line commentary if sent via DOC, DOCX or as an editable PDF.
  • This is perfect for those who are working on deep revisions. 

Proofreading & Copy-Editing

  • Includes line by line assessment and re-write suggestions. 
  • Includes comprehensive feedback and a complete screenplay evaluation. 
  • Includes correcting grammatical errors, typos, and sentence structure. 
  • This is perfect for those who are ready to submit, but just need an extra set of eyes. 

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM US:

  • Confidentiality. We will not share any details of your manuscript with anyone. Everything discussed will be strictly between us. 
  • Flexible communication. We are always open to questions and concerns. 
  • A Reader Report that will consists of all our comprehensive feedback.
  • Timely feedback

READING INTERESTS:

Romance, fantasy, contemporary (YA or NA), horror, mystery, thriller, erotica, science fiction, etc. We are open-minded to most genres. 

WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING THAT PROMOTES HATE SPEECH. 

PRICING:

We charge per page for both the developmental and proofreading services. However, we are willing to work with your budget and are flexible to negotiating pricing to fit your needs. 

We do offer personalized payment plans as well. 

Developmental: $2.50/per page.

Proofreading: $3.00/per page
